PS5 Controller Modification ( HALL Sensor Joystick Upgrade)

Like all controllers that used ALPS potentiometers, official retail PS5 controllers also suffer from joystick drift after a certain time of use. This type of drift can not be re-calibrated due to frequent wiper movement that has caused joystick wiper wore-out and scratches on resistive coating as a result. 

Thanks for the new Joystick with Hall sensors. There is no resistive coating or a wiper but a HALL IC which sensors the joystick movement without physically touching and scratching. The new HALL joystick will last almost permanently. 

What does the modification involve?  We de-solder the both existing left and right ALPS potentiometers and replace them with the new HALL joysticks. De-soldering a 14 pin joystick from PCB is not an easy work. However, with a specially designed de-solder tool , we are able to complete the work safely and perfectly. We will also calibrate the controller after the HALL sticks installed to ensure both joysticks centering position and best coverage of movement.

Send us the order number and tracking number via Contact form /email

We will have the work completed within 1-2 days after receiving your controllers and contact you with the invoice once for payment. 

We will send the repaired/upgraded controllers back within 1-2 days after receiving payment.

Return postage is free for 3 and more controllers. Discounts are available for 3 and more controllers.
