This drive can be used as a replacement drive for all type of drives currently used in Xbox360. However, replacement work is not just a direct swap out. The work involves a method to retrieve the unique key from the original drive that comes with the motherboard, then inject the key into a suitable firmware and spoof if needed.

 

Replacing the Xbox360 drive requires tools and technique as said. However, if you don't feel quite confident doing the work but you still have the original firmware or info about your original drive such as the key and the ROM version, you may send the original firmware or info to us and we'll have the new drive pre-flashed for you at no extra cost. You may copy/paste your key and the drive info to 'Customer Note' at checkout or simply email to us after placing the order.

If your original drive was flashed, you might get the key or original firmware from someone who did the work for you.

 

For customers who want to replace their hitach78/79 drives, we must need your original firmware because it contains the key address info that is required for flashing.

 

If you don't have the original firmware or key but your drive is not bricked then you'll need to send the original drive to us. (extra cost will apply as we have to read the key from your faulty drive)

 

If you don't have the key/original firmware and your original drive is already bricked,  sorry, you might have to buy a new Xbox360.
